About The Role The Horizontal Crew brings together six teams covering the full spectrum of buying and selling on Marktplaats; from consumer-to-consumer transactions to the tools and experiences that help business sellers grow on our platform. As Senior Engineering Manager you lead the General Classifieds team while taking on a broader role across the horizontal crew. The General Classifieds team sits at the heart of the crew's strategic agenda, with significant work ahead on platform evolution, subscriptions and commercial growth. You bring the engineering depth and seniority to contribute meaningfully beyond your own team; shaping how we work, spotting what needs attention across team boundaries, and ensuring engineering has a strong and grounded voice in crew-level conversations alongside product.
