We're scaling fast, and we're looking for engineers who'd rather untangle hard, real-world problems than push pixels on a toy app. What You'll Do As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll help build and scale the systems running our global manufacturing ecosystem: Design and develop highly available, scalable backend services in AWSBuild and maintain event-driven, asynchronous systems using Node.jsCreate robust APIs (REST / GraphQL) powering customer-facing and internal toolsPartner closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to ship features that actually move the businessContribute to technical design discussions and drive best practices across the teamDebug production issues and improve system reliabilityContinuously improve code quality through testing, observability, and documentation What You Bring 5+ years of backend engineering experienceStrong skills in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience building systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.)Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecturesExperience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIsFamiliarity with SQL and NoSQL databasesA commitment to writing unit and integration testsKnowledge of system design, caching, and security best practices (OWASP Top 10)Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) Nice To Have: AWS certificationExperience with high-scale or business-critical systems How You Work You take ownership and ship clean, maintainable, production-ready codeYou communicate clearly and collaborate across teamsYou solve problems proactively, even outside your immediate scopeYou enjoy mentoring others and raising the bar for engineering excellenceYou stay curious and keep learning new technologies and patterns Why MISUMI Americas?
