Senior AI Data Engineer

We are looking for Senior AI Data Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise‑grade data and AI platforms using GitOps principles. The role blends data engineering, platform engineering, MLOps and operational reliability, with a strong focus on security, governance and repeatability. You will work with data generated across multiple security, governance and operational systems, ensuring that AI and data pipelines are stable, observable and compliant with enterprise requirements. Key Responsibilities: GitOps‑Driven Platform Engineering Build and maintain data and AI platforms as code using Git‑based workflows.Implement pull‑request workflows, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.Maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code for consistent, traceable and auditable environments. AI/ML Data Pipelines Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting model training, retraining and inference.Work with feature stores and design pipelines aligned with business requirements.Ensure reliability, data freshness and low‑latency processing. GenAI & RAG Enablement Prepare and maintain curated data sources for RAG and internal AI agents.Build pipelines for embeddings, vector database ingestion and retrieval workflows.Support secure and governed access to AI‑related data. Data Quality, Governance & Observability Monitor data quality, schema consistency and pipeline performance.Detect data drift and distribution shifts affecting AI systems.Embed security, privacy and compliance controls directly into pipelines.Maintain clear data lineage and documentation. MLOps & Production Readiness Integrate pipelines with MLOps workflows for model versioning and retraining.Support rollback strategies and operational readiness.Provide runbooks and guidance for IT and operations teams. Cloud & Platform Engineering Build and operate Azure‑based data and AI platforms (storage, compute, containers, orchestration).Optimize for cost, performance and reliability.Support hybrid or restricted environments with regulatory constraints. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with IT Operations, Security, Data Science, AI Engineering and business stakeholders.Translate business and AI requirements into scalable architectures.Produce clear documentation, diagrams and operational guidelines. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure roles.Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, JSON/YAML and shell scripting.Hands‑on experience with Git‑based workflows, IaC and CI/CD in production environments.Experience operating workloads in Azure and AWS.Practical experience applying LLMs and GenAI platforms (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) in enterprise settings.
