Staff DevOps Engineer Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite/week) Our client is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead the automation, scalability, and reliability of modern cloud infrastructure supporting customer-facing mobile applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving engineering workflows, and driving DevOps best practices in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Android, iOS, and Flutter mobile applications. Design, build, and maintain scalable DevOps infrastructure using GitHub Actions and Microsoft Azure. Automate cloud infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code and Azure automation tools. Manage and support Kubernetes environments running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Partner closely with engineering teams to improve development workflows, deployment reliability, and release velocity. Implement and manage identity solutions using Azure AD B2C. Build and maintain API integrations through Azure API Management (APIM). Monitor production environments, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and perform root cause analysis. Drive DevOps best practices around automation, scalability, security, and observability. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across infrastructure and release engineering initiatives. Requirements 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Android, iOS, and Flutter applications. Strong expertise with GitHub Actions for build, deployment, and release automation. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure automation. Experience managing Kubernetes workloads, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Experience implementing Azure AD B2C identity management solutions. Experience working with Azure API Management (APIM). Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across cloud infrastructure and production environments. Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with distributed engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in startup or high-growth environments. Experience improving release processes for customer-facing mobile applications. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
