About the Position:
Cologix is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Systems Administration team.
This role will be responsible for development and engineering of internal solutions that support the core business operation.
Primary functions will be designing, deploying and monitoring automation services between various business systems; reviewing, analyzing and streamlining current business processes and systems; assisting with designing, deploying and management of core business systems.

Contribute to the implementation of new products while supporting the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization of DevOps practices across EngineeringCollaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and peer operations organizations to deliver reliable and scalable solutionsDevelop and establish organizational standards, policies, procedures, and best practices for DevOps environmentsDesign and implement simple, repeatable, and reliable solutions that streamline systems, processes, and operational workflowsOwn and coordinate release management activities to support consistent, controlled, and successful deploymentsEstablish, maintain, and support systems and tools used across development and production environmentsDevelop, administer, and maintain version control systems and associated processesMaintain a comprehensive documentation library for DevOps systems, processes, and proceduresCreate technical and operational documentation for new systems and solutions to enable effective transition and knowledge transfer to operational support teams
What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline (preference), or equivalent professional experience3+ years of experience in DevOps3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or a related roleStrong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentalsExperience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or equivalent technologiesExperience working with a variety of open-source technologies and cloud platformsWorking knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, and JVM-based server environmentsFamiliarity with scripting and programming languages such as Python, PHP, Perl, and/or RubyStrong understanding of IT operations best practices within highly available, production-critical environmentsAbility to work independently, effectively manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned projects and tasksDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and operational teamsA proactive, positive approach with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously develop new skillsAWS architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, is a plusApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
