L2 CLOUD OPERATIONS ENGINEER (AZURE - PRIMARY FOCUS)

Overview of the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Operations Engineer with 5–7 years of IT experience to manage, support, and optimize Azure cloud environments. The role focuses on L2/L3 support, automation, incident management, and infrastructure reliability. Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor Azure environments (VMs, storage, networking, databases)Handle L2/L3 incidents, service requests, and escalations within SLAPerform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actionsProvision and manage Azure resources (VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers)Configure backup and disaster recovery using Azure Backup and ASRImplement high availability and scaling solutionsSet up monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alertsAutomate tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC toolsEnsure security using RBAC, Key Vault, and Defender for CloudPerform patching and vulnerability remediation using update toolsCollaborate with DevOps, security, and application teamsMaintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks Required Skills Strong experience in Azure Compute, Networking, and StorageHands-on with Azure Portal, PowerShell, and Azure CLIExperience with Windows Server and basic Linux administrationStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExperience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)Must have troubleshooting experience in Windows Operating system.Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft Clustering is desirableFamiliarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow Certifications (Preferred) AZ-104 Azure AdministratorAZ-305 Solutions ArchitectAZ-400 DevOps EngineerITIL Foundation
