Join us at Toptracer Technologies and be part of a team dedicated to creating positive change through technology and innovation! 🚀 💻 💙 THE ROLE The Software Operations team is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help build and operate the platforms, tools, and automation that enable Toptracer’s global growth. You will work across software development, infrastructure, and operations, driving technical decisions while remaining hands-on with coding, automation, and platform engineering. A key part of the role is designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes environments running primarily on on-premises infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Together with the team, you will develop the systems that remove operational bottlenecks, improve productivity, and enable Toptracer to scale worldwide. You will contribute to architecture, automation, deployment strategies, and engineering best practices while collaborating closely with both development and operations teams. FREQUENT TECH STACK Large-scale Kubernetes platform running primarily on self-managed and on-prem infrastructureLinux-based development and production environmentsPython for backend services, automation, and operational toolingDocker and containerized platformsBash and Python for scripting and automationAutomated provisioning of physical and virtual infrastructureNetbooted servers, devices, and operational network environments OCCASIONAL TECH STACK AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructureGitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsFlask, FastAPI, and Django for API developmentPostgreSQL for database solutions POSSIBILITIES Work in an autonomous team with smart, engaged, driven, and collaborative colleaguesBuild tooling and automation that make a significant impact on the businessDrive architectural, operational, and infrastructure decisions within the teamHelp shape deployment strategies and engineering best practicesCollaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teamsGain a broad understanding of Toptracer’s technology ecosystemBe part of a team and organization that embraces continuous improvement and changeEnable Toptracer’s world-leading technology to scale globally and deliver more FUN to the world WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE Prioritized skills Strong experience developing, operating, and maintaining large-scale Kubernetes platforms in self-managed or on-prem infrastructure environmentsSeveral years of experience developing for Linux environments and working close to operational infrastructureStrong backend programming skills in Python, with experience building scalable automation, tooling, and APIsExperience with AWS and building CI/CD pipelines for Linux environmentsStrong understanding of infrastructure automation, containerized environments, and platform scalability across both development and operationsExperience designing scalable operational tooling and automation workflowsAbility to understand large distributed systems and how components integrate across infrastructure and software layersStrong communication and knowledge-sharing abilities, with experience mentoring and supporting team membersInterest in software architecture while still enjoying hands-on codingAbility to contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and long-term scalability initiatives Relevant experience beyond the core requirements Experience with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or DjangoExperience defining and implementing test strategies, including automated testing approachesExperience working in agile teams; experience in coordination or Scrum Master responsibilities is considered a strong advantageExperience with GitOps principles and tools such as Argo CDExperience deploying and maintaining cloud-based and distributed systemsExperience with blue/green deployment strategies is considered a plus.
