Java Developer

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Work Authorization: Candidates authorized to work in Canada Role Overview We are seeking experienced Java Developers with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and backend application development. The ideal candidates will have experience designing and developing scalable enterprise applications in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot. * Develop scalable and reliable microservices. * Design and implement RESTful APIs. * Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code. * Work with databases including SQL/Oracle. * Implement application components using appropriate design patterns. * Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and related frameworks. * Participate in code reviews and ensure development best practices. * Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support. * Collaborate with QA, DevOps, architects, product teams, and other developers. * Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. * Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC processes. * Contribute to CI/CD and cloud/containerized deployment environments. Required Skills * 5+ years of professional Java development experience. * Strong experience with Core Java. * Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot. * Strong experience developing REST APIs. * Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture. * Experience with Java 8+ / Java 17. * Experience with JUnit and automated testing. * Strong knowledge of SQL/relational databases. * Experience with Git. * Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
