Position: Senior Software Engineer | Core Java / Spark / Python Location: Hybrid- Montreal, QC Job type: Full-Time/Permanent Hiring Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Core Java, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and Linux to develop scalable server-side applications and large-scale analytical data processing solutions. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Python, and object-oriented development.Strong experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.Advanced SQL and relational database development/performance optimization.Strong Linux/Unix administration and application support experience.Experience with server-side applications, microservices, REST APIs, and system integration.Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and application design.Experience designing and integrating analytical/data processing systems handling large data volumes.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.Experience with CI/CD and software development lifecycle practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Core Java and Python.Build and optimize distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark.Develop complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.Design and integrate analytical platforms for structured and unstructured data processing.Develop and integrate REST APIs and server-side services.Troubleshoot application, data-processing, and performance issues across Linux environments.Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.Support CI/CD, application deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle activities.Follow coding, security, testing, and software engineering best practices.
