Our client is in the Insurance sector and is looking to grow their team with a Java Senior Developer. This role will have a big focus on Agentic Development and is 2 days a week in London. This role will have a big focus on Agentic Development and is 2 days a week in London. Description This role is primarily Java-centric - you will design and build cloud microservices on the platform - with the expectation that you actively apply AI tooling and patterns to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and contribute to our emerging AI-driven product features.Develop, test, and implement software solutions to meet business needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable applications.Maintain and optimise existing systems to ensure high performance and reliability.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.Ensure code quality through regular reviews and adherence to best practices.Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime.Contribute to the planning and execution of technology projects.Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them where applicable.Profile Must haves: JavaSpring / Spring BootAI Coding tools (Claude, Cursor etc)AWS or Azure Comfortable reading Python code or notebooks (most AI libraries are Python-first); ability to translate patterns into Java implementations.Nice to haves: Camunda BPM or similarK8sAngularKafka Job Offer 25 days + BHS Private medical Bonus of 5-10% Pension 5% Life insurance
