Application Developer & IT Support Analyst

We're looking for an Application (.NET) Developer & IT Support Analyst to join our client's IT team in a hands-on role that combines .NET development, SQL, application support, and IT support. You'll develop and maintain internal business applications, troubleshoot SQL and application issues, and provide hands-on technical support for employees across Canada and the United States. This is a great fit for a developer who enjoys variety, is confident with basic SQL, and is comfortable troubleshooting both applications and everyday hardware/software issues. 💻 Who You Are A hands-on developer who enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solvingConfident writing basic SQL queries from scratchComfortable working across application development, application support, and IT troubleshootingSomeone who enjoys understanding how systems work together and finding the root cause of an issueComfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical usersPatient and service-oriented when helping users resolve technical issuesResourceful and willing to jump into different types of technical problemsAble to work independently and take ownership of issues through to resolution 📍 Work Type Location: Markham, ON (Fully Onsite - 5 days a week in-office) Vacancy Type: This role reflects an existing vacancy 🎯 What You'll Do Support and maintain a portfolio of custom business applications used across the organization Troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and system integrations Write, modify, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures Investigate issues across multiple integrated systems, including ERP and custom web applications Develop enhancements and improvements using C#/.NET and Visual Studio Work directly with employees to understand technical issues and provide practical solutions Support business users through phone, email, and remote support tools Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and modernization initiatives Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve application issues Provide occasional support for office hardware, printers, mobile devices, and sales technology when needed Recommend improvements to existing applications, reporting tools, and business processes ⭐ What We're Looking For 3-5+ years supporting business applications in a Microsoft environment, ideally as a software developer, application support or hybrid development/support roleStrong experience with SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting queries and stored procedures Experience working with C#/.NET applications Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users Comfortable supporting multiple applications simultaneously Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues through resolution Strong customer service mindset and willingness to help wherever needed Comfortable working in a role that combines application support, development, and business user interaction Nice-to-Have Experience with REST APIs and system integrations Experience with Angular or other modern web technologies Crystal Reports experience ERP application support experience Experience supporting warehouse, sales, or distribution environments Exposure to POS systems or label printing software Benefits Base Salary: $60,000-$70,000 Paid Time Off: Competitive vacation and personal days to maintain a healthy work-life balance Health Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package with coverage to support your individual and/or family needs Career Growth: Opportunity to work alongside an experienced developer while contributing to modernization initiatives and learning new technologies 📩 Ready to Elevate Your Career?
