🚀 We’re hiring: Senior Scientist – Protein Engineering ForgeBio is a dynamic young biotech company based at Utrecht Science Park, developing next-generation antigens and vaccines for infectious diseases. We’re looking for a Senior Scientist in Protein Engineering to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role combining laboratory research, protein engineering and management of external CRO activities. 🧬 What you’ll do Design, express and characterize engineered proteins and vaccine antigensPlan and execute experiments independently in the labManage CROs and external research partners, from experimental design to data interpretationAnalyze and troubleshoot complex experimental resultsContribute to the development of our next-generation antigen pipelineWork closely with the founders and scientific team in a fast-moving startup environment 🔬 What we’re looking for PhD or equivalent experience in protein engineering, structural biology, biochemistry, virology or a related fieldStrong hands-on laboratory experience with recombinant proteinsExperience with HPLC, FACS and general protein characterization is highly desirableExperience in molecular virology is a strong plusAbility to independently design experiments and interpret dataComfortable working in a dynamic startup where priorities can move quicklyStrong communication and project-management skills Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who likes building things, solving problems and taking ownership. 📍 Location: Utrecht Science Park, Netherlands 🧪 Role: Senior Scientist – Protein Engineering 🚀 Environment: Small, ambitious biotech company with a lot of scientific freedom and responsibility Interested in helping us build the next generation of infectious-disease antigens?
