Senior DevOps & Quality Engineering Engineer – Salesforce

Job Description What's the opportunity? We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps & Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to drive DevOps, CI/CD, release automation, and Quality Engineering practices for Salesforce applications within RBC Insurance Technology. This is a senior hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise across Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, Quality Engineering, test automation, and release management. The successful candidate will work closely with Salesforce development teams, architects, QE teams, Product Owners, and technology partners to improve engineering efficiency, automation, quality, and release reliability. Strong Salesforce experience and hands-on experience with Flosum or a similar Salesforce DevOps platform are mandatory. What will you do? Lead and execute DevOps and Quality Engineering activities for Salesforce applications.Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CI/CD pipelinesDrive Salesforce deployment and release automation using Flosum or similar Salesforce DevOps toolsManage and improve Salesforce source control, branching, metadata management, environment management, deployments, and release processesBuild and enhance automated quality gates across the CI/CD pipeline.Define and implement end-to-end QE and test automation strategies covering functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.Drive increased test automation coverage and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Identify opportunities to reduce manual deployment and testing activities through automation.Troubleshoot complex Salesforce deployment, pipeline, integration, environment, and test automation issuesPartner with developers and architects to improve engineering practices and shift quality and security earlier in the SDLC.Support release planning and production deployments and proactively identify release risks and dependencies.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best-practice recommendations to DevOps, QE, and development teams.Establish and track engineering metrics such as deployment success rate, automation coverage, pipeline reliability, defect leakage, and release qualityIdentify opportunities to leverage AI/GenAI within DevOps and QE to improve test generation, defect analysis, automation, and engineering productivity. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 8+ years of experience across DevOps, Quality Engineering, software engineering, or test automation.Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce development and delivery ecosystemsStrong hands-on experience with Flosum or similar Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of Salesforce CI/CD, metadata deployments, source control, environment management, branching, and release managementHands-on experience designing and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelinesStrong experience with Git and source-control/branching strategiesStrong Quality Engineering background with hands-on experience in test automationExperience with functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and API testingExperience integrating automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelinesStrong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills across pipelines, environments, deployments, and application integrations.Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern SDLC practicesAbility to independently lead complex technical initiatives and provide technical direction to engineering teams.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across development, architecture, QE, business, and technology teams. Nice-to-have Salesforce certifications.Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and/or Experience CloudExperience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, or equivalent tools.Experience implementing SAST/DAST and security quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.Experience with performance engineering and performance test automation.Experience with API and enterprise integration technologies.Experience applying AI/GenAI to DevOps and Quality Engineering use casesExperience within financial services or insurance technology What’s in it for you?
