What You Will Be Doing
Interpret business requirements and translate them into well-designed, scalable software solutions.Design, develop and support Windows and web-based applications across a modern enterprise application landscape.Build low-maintenance, sustainable solutions using established industry best practice, technologies and standards.Develop and consume RESTful APIs and support integrations across upstream and downstream systems.Work closely with Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test and Digital Operations teams.Support User Acceptance Testing, defect resolution, release management, runbooks and hypercare planning.Reduce technical debt where appropriate and accurately document technical designs, constraints and code base.Ensure solutions meet organisational, legal, regulatory, security and compliance requirements.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years professional experience in a Software Engineer or Software Developer role.Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.A degree in software engineering, computing or a related discipline.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a self-starter mindset.Experience working in an Agile development environment would be advantageous.Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships across technical and business teams.Excellent communication skills and fluent written and spoken English.
Technical Skills
.NET development including C#, ASP.NET and MVC frameworks.React and TypeScript.Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code.Responsive websites and UI design.Back-end C# unit testing.Oracle with strong PL/SQL experience and SQL Server.RESTful API design, development and consumption.AWS or Azure cloud resources.Git, branching, merging and Azure DevOps.AI development practices such as GitHub Copilot.MS Power Platform including Power Automate and Power Apps.
