We’re AD/01, the tech studio that builds the future of food retail. Whether it’s in-store aisles, online baskets, or behind-the-scenes operations, we innovate the daily food experiences for farmers and families, grandmas and greengrocers, and pickers and packers alike. We’re part of the Ahold Delhaize network, one of the world’s largest global food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-commerce. With 19 strong local brands in Europe, the United States, and Indonesia, we create a meaningful difference for our customers, our people, and the world around us. And we’re looking for the freshest minds excited to create the recipe for change. Your new role and environment. The ADtech cluster working on Gambit is responsible for delivering a flexible, cost-efficient and high-quality retail media suite with broad functionality for a growing number of brands. The environment combines enterprise scale with the energy and pace of a scale-up. The cluster currently consists of 10 teams working together on the retail media suite, with further growth planned. Our mature Agile way of working, without rigid frameworks, gives engineers the autonomy to excel and demonstrate their skills. Within the ADtech cluster, we are building and implementing a retail media SaaS solution for Ahold Delhaize brands across Europe. Retail media involves selling advertising space across our own digital and in-store touchpoints. Examples include: • promoting a brand such as Tony’s Chocolonely when a customer searches for chocolate on a website or in an app; • displaying advertisements for defined periods on large screens inside and outside stores; • placing supplier-branded banners on a brand’s homepage or relevant product category pages; and exploring new opportunities in this rapidly developing field.
