Description

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Serve as the Service Owner for the setup, operation, and enhancement of a central SonarQube Data Center Edition, including multi-node setup, load balancing, and high availability. • Manage the underlying Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu across multiple environments, ensuring scalability, security, and stability. • Operate the PostgreSQL backend database for SonarQube, ideally with CloudNativePG (CNPG) on Kubernetes, including backup, replication strategies, and performance tuning. • Plan and execute SonarQube upgrades, including major version migrations, and manage capacity and performance (Compute Engine, ElasticSearch indexing). • Utilize GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Helm) for deployment and configuration, integrate SonarQube into existing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), and connect Artifactory and other development tools. • Ensure secure access via PAM (Teleport), LDAP/SSO, and Secrets Management, build observability with Grafana/Thanos/OpenTelemetry, and create comprehensive documentation and guidelines in German and English. What You'll Need • Several years of in-depth professional experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with proven responsibility for mission-critical services, ideally operating SonarQube Data Center Edition or similar code quality/security scanning platforms. • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Security, or a comparable technical field (Master's degree or an excellent Bachelor's). • Deep practical expertise in operating Kubernetes clusters, using Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD). • Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL on Kubernetes, ideally with CloudNativePG (CNPG), complemented by solid skills in network and system security, and secrets management. • Fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken, with proficiency in technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder communication. • A highly structured, analytical, and quality-oriented approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills, enthusiasm for modern DevOps and observability concepts, and ideally experience with GitLab CI/CD, JFrog Artifactory, and AI coding assistants.
