Full Stack Developer (Mid-Senior) ABOUT US Annotech is a software development company based in Cluj-Napoca. We design, build and maintain web products for clients in Romania and across Europe, from the first commit through to systems carrying real traffic and real revenue. We are a small team, which means the work is broad and the responsibility is real. You will not be handed one screen and left on it for two years. Our developers make technical decisions, speak directly with the client, and stay with a product long enough to live with the consequences of their own choices. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO • Own features end to end, from database to deployed interface, rather than picking tickets off a queue someone else filled • Work directly with clients: understand the outcome they need, and say so when a requirement will not get them there • Make architecture decisions under real constraints (budget, deadline, incomplete requirements) and be able to defend them • Build and maintain the unglamorous layer that keeps everything upright: CI/CD, environments, monitoring, deployments • Move between projects, domains and stacks as our client portfolio changes WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR, IN THIS ORDER We hire for judgment, not for a keyword list. A developer who can reason through an unfamiliar problem will outperform one who has memorised a framework, every time. • Problem solving above all: you break down ambiguity, ask the question nobody thought to ask, and know when good enough to ship beats perfect • Ownership: you follow through without being chased • Communication: you can explain a technical tradeoff to someone with no engineering background, without condescension • Adaptability: you can be productive in a stack you first opened last week • AI fluency: comfortable with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot, and critical enough to review their output properly • 2 or more years of professional full stack experience • Professional English, written and spoken. Most of our clients are international HOW WE USE AI AI is part of how we work, not a novelty we tolerate. We expect it to be in your hands daily, across the whole lifecycle: • Development: AI assisted coding as the default workflow, not an occasional shortcut • Architecture: generating and comparing design options, pressure testing an approach, documenting tradeoffs before anything gets committed • Restructuring and refactoring: untangling existing codebases, including inherited projects with thin documentation and no original author to ask • Testing: generating and maintaining unit, integration and end to end coverage, and finding the cases a human would skip • Migrations and repetitive work: framework upgrades, large scale transformations, boilerplate • Documentation: technical specifications, handover notes, and explanations a client can actually read TECHNICAL GROUND YOU WILL COVER You do not need all of these. You need enough of them to be dangerous, and the ability to pick up the rest. • Frontend: Angular or React • Backend: Node.js. Go is a strong plus • Databases: relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and document (MongoDB) • Cloud: AWS, Azure or GCP. Hands on, not just aware of • Delivery: CI/CD pipelines • Growth: technical SEO fundamentals.
