Job Description We are looking for a Backend Engineer (C#/.Net) (m/f/d) Join our team at our location in Stockholm – hybrid working conditions available. What You’ll Be Doing Design, develop, test, and ship robust, maintainable, and readable software, applications, APIs, and workflowsContribute to technical architecture design decisionsWork as part of an agile, cross-functional team and actively participat in Scrum ceremoniesAnalyze, discuss, and implement business requirements while maintaining good documentation of the systems and components you createBring in industry standards and best practices to continually improve our codebase and architectureMake a positive impact on our engineering culture by adopting, implementing, and providing feedback on both organizational and industry standards and practices Qualifications What you bring: 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with C# and .NETStrong experience building and maintaining backend servicesA solid understanding of RESTful APIs Practical experience with data access patterns and ORMs, ideally Entity FrameworkGood knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL ServerFamiliarity with distributed architectures, including service-to-service communication and asynchronous messagingExperience with cloud-hosted and containerized applications, ideally Azure and Docker; Kubernetes is a plusExperience troubleshooting application issues using logs and monitoring tools Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) to speed up coding, testing, and debugging, along with sound judgment about when and how to rely on AI-generated output.Exposure to Infrastructure as Code practices is a plusFluent English FinTech or banking domain knowledge is a big plus Please note: you need to have EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Sweden.
