Mid-Level .NET Developer

We are looking for a strong Mid-Level .NET Developer to contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of business-critical software systems.The role includes working with backend services, REST APIs, integrations, background processes, and applications built with modern .NET and .NET Framework technologies.The candidate should be able to independently analyze medium-complexity requirements, propose solutions, estimate, implement, test, and support it in a production environment. Effective and responsible use of AI tools is also expected.. Responsibilities Analyze requirements, clarify uncertainties, and identify edge cases, dependencies, and risks.Develop and maintain systems using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and, where required, .NET Framework.Implement REST APIs, integrations, background services, and scheduled processes.Design database changes and write and optimize SQL queries.Build secure, reliable, testable, performant, and backward-compatible solutions.Implement validation, authentication, authorization, logging, error handling, timeouts, retries, and idempotency where appropriate.Write unit and integration tests and participate in pull-request reviews.Investigate issues in a production environment using logs, traces, monitoring tools, and database information.Estimate work and communicate risks, blockers, and delays in a timely manner.Take ownership of tasks from analysis through release and post-release support.Use AI tools for development, code review, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating all generated results.Avoid sharing confidential code, credentials, customer information, or production data with unauthorized AI services. Qualifications At least 3 years of professional experience with C# and .NET.Ability to independently deliver medium-complexity functionality with limited supervision.Good knowledge of C#, OOP, SOLID principles, dependency injection, LINQ, generics, and async/await.Practical experience with modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Web API development.Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, validation, error handling, API versioning, and backward compatibility.Understanding of authentication, authorization, secure coding, and core OWASP principles.Experience integrating with external services and handling timeouts, retries, and invalid responses.Strong SQL Server knowledge, including joins, stored procedures, transactions, indexes, execution plans, blocking, and deadlocks.Experience writing unit and integration tests and designing testable code.Ability to investigate production issues using logs, stack traces, trace IDs, and database information.Experience with Git, branching, pull requests, merge conflicts, and code reviews.Basic understanding of CI/CD processes.Ability to understand and safely modify existing or legacy codebases.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.Relevant higher education or equivalent practical experience.AI Knowledge and Usage Practical experience with AI coding assistants or a good understanding of their use.Ability to write clear prompts and provide sufficient technical context.Ability to validate AI-generated code, SQL queries, tests, and technical explanations.Ability to identify incorrect, incomplete, insecure, or unsuitable AI-generated suggestions.Awareness of confidentiality, data leakage, security, and intellectual-property risks.Ability to use AI as an assistant without replacing independent analysis and professional responsibility.Nice to have Experience with .NET Framework systems and background-processing services.Experience with financial, banking, or other business-critical systems.Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.Experience with Azure DevOps Server, CI/CD pipelines, or Docker.Experience with structured logging, monitoring, performance profiling, or load testing.Understanding of distributed systems, caching, asynchronous processing, and transaction boundaries.Experience supporting or mentoring junior developers.Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI API integration.
