AI Full Stack Engineer

Your Mission You'll build and ship features end-to-end, across the whole stack: performant, accessible frontend, scalable APIs, data pipelines, business logic — all of it. AI-assisted workflows (Claude, Cursor, and similar) are how you work day to day, not a side experiment; you'll ship production code primarily through them and show us your workflow. You own your features from design through deployment, working closely with designers and product. Architecture and engineering governance are set jointly with the CTO — but within that, you get real ownership of what you build. What We Offer We hire on demonstrated ability, not résumé length. What You'll Do Full Stack Development Build responsive and accessible (WCAG) user interfaces, from design handoff to production, in close collaboration with designers and product specialists.Contribute to COMO's component library and design system to maintain consistent UI across products.Optimize frontend performance (load times, rendering, cross-browser behavior) across devices.Architect and implement RESTful APIs and scalable backend services that power COMO's platform.Design data models, business logic layers, and integration points across COMO's financial operations stack.Contribute to the continuous improvement of frontend and backend architecture and code quality. AI-Augmented Development Use AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., AI coding assistants, prompt-driven prototyping, AI-generated tests/TDD gating) as a regular part of your development process.Explore and adopt AI-powered techniques for development, testing, and code generation.Contribute to the team's evolving AI-augmented ways of working and sharing what you learn. API Integration & Data Handling Integrate external and partner APIs (payment rails, FX, connected services) into the platform.Develop dashboards and reporting views that turn financial data into clear, actionable insights.Implement proper error handling and validation mechanisms. DevOps & Quality Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) across the full stack.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using enterprise tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).Participate in peer code reviews and uphold agreed coding standards.Support quality assurance processes to ensure stable, reliable releases. Security & Compliance Follow secure coding practices and internal security policies.Ensure frontend and backend implementations comply with applicable regulatory, data protection, and governance standards.Support audit and documentation requirements as needed. What You Bring Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. Experience 3+ years of experience shipping full-stack web features end-to-end, plus hands-on work with LLM APIs. What you’ve built matters more than years served.You’ve built and shipped real web apps with AI features — strong side projects and open-source contributions count.Comfortable integrating LLMs into real products — prompting, tool/function calling, RAG, and evals.Preferably within financial services, consulting, or technology environments. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).Strong frontend fundamentals: state management, accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and responsive design.Solid backend experience in Go, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.Strong expertise with prompt engineering and APIs (Claude, GPT, Gemini).Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL stores.Familiarity with RESTful API design, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.Proficiency in Git-based workflows, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks.Comfortable deploying to a major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
