Job Description About the role: As a Lead Engineer at Ezypay, you have extensive experience in the design and development of distributed, highly transactional systems. You understand and respect quality practices and do everything in your power to ensure NFR’s are met throughout the SDLC. You’re a star on the rise who is looking for the opportunity to join a FinTech company in an exciting period of growth, who is ready to step up and become the predominant technical leader of a small but growing engineering team, reporting to the CTO. As a Lead Engineer, you will: Be a leader in our cloud platform, and maintain our best-in-class product, a Java based micro-services architecture hosted on AWSAs a Lead Engineer, you will work closely with the Senior Engineering members, Team Leads and the CTO to plan, develop, implement and test software programs that are easy to maintain, modular, well documented and resource efficient.Work with all team members to regularly assess , investigate and remediate technical defects within the Ezypay platform.Perform operational procedures, including ongoing maintenance , on runtime systems, both manual and automated, in accordance with company standards.Provide recommendations for continuous improvement to the product and delivery processProvide mentorship when required to engineers Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant Information technology industry experience.Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, specifically data structures and algorithms7+ years industry experience with an in-depth understanding of distributed systemsStrong Experience in: Experience in Java and Spring Boot in high-throughput, production-grade systems and Event-Driven ArchitectureRelational databases such as PostgreSQL, including performance tuningExperience working with any Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, etcDeep understanding of scalable distributed systems conceptsGood understanding of security best practices in the context of web applicationsGood understanding of internetworking concepts and protocolsGood knowledge of a modern software development lifecycle management methodology, such as SCRUMWorking knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScriptWorking knowledge of SQLTeam player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary Additional Information Values and Life at Xplor Our five core values guide us from how we hire and recognise our team members to how we interact with our customers day to day: Find a better wayDo the right thingSay it straightWin togetherOwn the outcomeIf these values sound like you, and describe people you want to work with, you will thrive at Xplor.
