The Microsoft Dynamics developer will be involved in developing various web based, data driven solutions in a large enterprise application portfolio. The developer will support the creation and maintenance of multiple applications in the portfolio, ensuring appropriate integration and scalability. As a technical expert, work collaboratively with the IT team using current and emerging technologies to create, enhance, and maintain product features. As a technical expert and lead, deliver on the design process with direct creation of system documents and perform code reviews and design reviews on activities completed by IT development resources. Participate in projects and support activities. Actively participate in the decision-making process and budget decisions for future application upgrades, changes or new products. Selection Criteria Technical SkillsExpertise in Microsoft-centric technologies such as C#, SQL Server Development, SharePoint, Azure, and Dynamics 365.Proficiency in deploying and maintaining web server technologies, including Windows Server and IIS.Experience working within design frameworks and utilizing source control systems such as TFS, GIT, CI/CD Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and MVC.Proficiency in developing and maintaining front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, alongside integration technologies like OAuth, Identity Server, Postman, SOAP, RFC, and JSON.Solution Design PracticeCollaborate with stakeholders, research and development teams to support business decisions through product development and innovative research initiatives.Participate in and oversee a peer code review process, ensuring adherence to standards and proper implementation.Stay current with emerging trends in software development, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.Drive technology choices to support immediate and long-term organizational growth through rapid prototyping and research.Ensure the creation and maintenance of technical documentation throughout the application lifecycle.Project Delivery/ParticipationEngage in all phases of the development cycle, including planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.Enhance solution quality by actively participating in testing through unit testing and bug resolution.Collaborate with technology team members to ensure issue-free deployments.Act as a mentor to team members by demonstrating and enforcing high standards of quality and efficiency.Participate in planning and review meetings with technical staff, line management, and user departments.Application DeliveryProvide technical leadership, resolving impediments and guiding technical direction throughout project delivery.Implement best practices for testing, deploying, and developing code.Prepare and review technical specifications, design documents, business cases, maintenance documentation, operating instructions, and user manuals.Offer technical insights on the selection, acquisition, migration, usage, and application of technology products and services.Identify and resolve system issues, estimate development time, recommend enhancements, and commit to deliverables as part of project plans.Design and deliver system integrations adhering to technology standards and best practices.Continuously engage with other technology team members to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies/issues, striving for continuous improvement.Collaborate with contract and vendor resources to deliver end-to-end solutions, monitoring the quality of third-party contributions.Application Maintenance and SupportImplement and document system enhancements to meet evolving user needs.Resolve production issues and incidents, following established technology team processes, including ITIL frameworks.Create knowledge base articles in Help Desk support portal and regularly review solutions with team members.Provide support for incident, problem, and change management processes.Address escalated issues from help desk, other team members and business users.ResearchContinuously research emerging technologies and maintain knowledge of current best practices in solution design standards.Communication and InfluenceProvides regular updates to Project Managers and IT management of solution development deliverables.Actively participates in project meetings, offering guidance and expertise to technical teams.Collaborate with technology team members and vendors to coordinate activities and meet project goals.Prepare written reports dealing with technical issues.Performs other duties as requiredRequirements Requires knowledge of information technology, computer hardware and applications software to test and implement new and changed computer applications and to make recommendations for information technology solutions to business problems.A period of over 4 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Director, Application Solutions Direct Reports: 0 Works Closely with: all of IT Notes(s) PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE IS FIRM.ESA may use automated or AI-assisted tools to support certain aspects of the recruitment and selection process.
