About The Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and automation processes. Your primary focus will be on building a robust, scalable, and efficient environment that supports our Python-based applications and containerized services. You will act as a key point of contact for automation, system reliability, and support, ensuring that our systems operate smoothly and securely. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a pragmatic tech stack, including Ansible, Docker, Nomad, and CI/CD pipelines, in a collaborative environment that values innovation and professional growth. Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation in IT, with relevant experience or education in DevOps, Linux system engineering, or SRE. Proven expertise in automation using Ansible or similar tools, along with strong Linux scripting skills in Bash and Python, is essential. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Docker-Compose is required. Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development, preferably with GitLab, and experience in handling support tickets via ITSM tools like Jira or ServiceNow are highly valued. Additional knowledge of Nomad, Prometheus, Grafana, Greylog, and database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle) is considered a plus. A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset are critical for success in this role. Responsibilities Lead automation initiatives by developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible to manage configuration and deployment processes across virtual Linux environments.Serve as a primary support contact for technical issues, handling service requests and tickets at 2nd and 3rd levels using ITSM platforms such as Jira and ServiceNow.Manage and optimize container operations by creating and maintaining Docker-Compose deployments for static applications and utilizing Nomad for more dynamic services.Develop, test, and operate CI/CD pipelines, primarily with GitLab, to ensure reliable deployment and operation of Python applications (FastAPI, Airflow) and Vue.js frontends.Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Greylog, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to ensure system stability.Support the operation of Docker-based applications, including integrations with database systems such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, and collaborate with database teams for optimal performance and reliability.Contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure and processes, adopting best practices and new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and security.
