About The Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Cloud Engineer Infrastructure (m/w/d) to join our dynamic Infrastructure Cloud team at INIT Group in Karlsruhe. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, supporting both on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with a team of experts to enhance our operational platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Your focus will be on automating deployment processes, optimizing system performance, and implementing best practices in cloud infrastructure management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation while contributing to innovative mobility solutions. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a technical background with a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. Practical knowledge and initial hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes are essential, with familiarity in deploying and managing OpenShift clusters, including Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO). Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Ansible, and cloud-native monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, MinIO, or CNPG will be considered advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to learning new technologies, and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial. Excellent communication skills in German are required, with proficiency in English being beneficial for international collaboration. Responsibilities Develop and enhance the operational platform for INIT, focusing on product quality and reliability.Install, configure, and operate OpenShift Kubernetes clusters across various environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud (Microsoft Azure).Assess requirements for the operational platform, design solutions, and ensure security considerations are integrated into all deployments.Collaborate closely with development teams to facilitate the transition and integration onto the new platform.Manage system configuration and automation using Git, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and oversee CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.Create guidelines and best practices for containerization and service deployment, sharing knowledge actively with team members and stakeholders.Monitor system performance, implement scaling strategies, and ensure high availability and observability of the infrastructure.
