Full-Stack Engineer - React/Java/Node.js

Full Stack Engineer: React / Java / Node.js / FS / 60-63K P/M Contract: 10 months Start Date: ASAP Work Arrangement: Hybrid - three days onsite and two days working from home We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support the delivery of a major enterprise technology programme. The successful candidate will work across frontend and backend development, contributing to the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of scalable business applications. This position requires strong hands-on engineering experience across modern JavaScript frameworks, backend technologies, APIs, microservices, and databases. The candidate will be expected to work primarily onsite during the initial one to two months to become familiar with the project, technology environment, and wider team. The role will then transition to a hybrid working arrangement. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applicationsBuild responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React or AngularDevelop backend services using Node.js, Java, and Spring BootDesign and implement microservices-based solutionsDevelop, maintain, and integrate RESTful APIsImplement appropriate API versioning, authentication, and authorisation controlsWork with relational and NoSQL databases to support application requirementsCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA engineers, and other developersTranslate business and technical requirements into practical software solutionsParticipate in solution design, technical discussions, code reviews, and development planningTroubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and production issuesWrite clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested codeSupport application deployment and release activitiesContribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices, development standards, and delivery processesEnsure applications meet appropriate standards for performance, security, reliability, and scalabilityRequirements At least five years of relevant experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, or similarStrong frontend development experience using React or AngularStrong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScriptSolid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3Hands-on backend development experience using Node.jsStrong Java development experience, including Spring BootProven experience designing and developing microservices-based applicationsStrong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIsGood understanding of API versioning, authentication, and authorisationExperience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL ServerExperience working with MongoDB and RedisStrong understanding of software development principles, application architecture, and the full development lifecycleBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical disciplineProfessional proficiency in English and Chinese, including Mandarin and CantoneseStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively within cross-functional and Agile delivery teamsDesirable Experience Experience working with cloud-based object storage solutions such as Azure Blob Storage or equivalent technologiesKnowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RocketMQ, or similar platformsHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience with CI/CD tools and practices using GitHub, Jenkins, or equivalent platformsStrong understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testingExperience implementing production logging, monitoring, tracing, and alertingFamiliarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise application environmentsPrevious experience working on large-scale transformation or system modernisation programmesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a major enterprise programme and work across modern frontend, backend, API, cloud, and microservices technologies.
