In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications while adhering to best practices in software architecture and code quality. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable solutions that meet our business objectives. What will you do? Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications using core Java technologies and frameworksDesign and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to solve complex technical problemsWrite clean, well-documented code following established coding standards and design patternsConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and consistencyCollaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specificationsTroubleshoot and debug production issues, analyzing root causes and implementing effective solutionsParticipate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisionsOptimize application performance through profiling, analysis, and implementation of performance improvementsMaintain comprehensive documentation of code, systems, and processes for knowledge sharingStay current with industry best practices and emerging Java technologies Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess 3+ years of professional experience in Java development with strong core Java expertiseAdvanced proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patternsSolid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexityExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflowsProficiency in unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and test-driven development practicesKnowledge of SQL and relational database designExperience developing RESTful APIs and understanding of HTTP protocolsFamiliarity with build tools such as Maven or GradleStrong problem-solving skills and analytical mindsetExcellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Skills And Experience Experience with Spring Framework and Spring BootKnowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systemsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programmingExposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologiesExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of message queues and event-driven architecture Additional Information Due to security clearance requirements for government-linked projects, this position is open to Singapore Citizens only.
