About The Role As a Junior Cloud Engineer Infrastructure (m/w/d) at INIT Group, you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure. Working within a dynamic and innovative team, you will focus on enhancing our Kubernetes-based platforms, ensuring their scalability, security, and high availability. Your responsibilities will include deploying, operating, and automating cloud and on-premise OpenShift clusters across various environments, including hybrid and cloud-native setups like Microsoft Azure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation tools, contributing directly to the evolution of our operational platform that supports our mobility solutions worldwide. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a completed technical degree or possesses equivalent professional experience in a related field. You should have initial hands-on experience with the installation and operation of OpenShift clusters, preferably with exposure to Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO). Familiarity with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline management is essential. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Ansible, and cloud-native technologies like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, MinIO, or CNPG is advantageous, and a willingness to further develop these skills is highly valued. Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken, are necessary for effective collaboration within the team and across departments. Additionally, you should demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, a pragmatic mindset, and the ability to work responsibly in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Develop and enhance the operational platform of INIT with a focus on product quality and reliability.Install, configure, and operate OpenShift Kubernetes clusters across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure.Assess platform requirements, develop tailored solutions, and ensure security considerations are integrated into all deployments.Collaborate closely with development teams to facilitate the transition to our new operational platform, acting as a key interface.Manage configuration and automation processes using Git, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and oversee CI/CD pipelines to streamline system integrations.Create guidelines and concepts for users regarding containerization and service deployment, actively sharing knowledge with team members.
