About The Role Lead the delivery of electrical engineering solutions across major hydropower projects, focusing on HV (switchgear, transformers, alternators) equipment replacements and refurbishments. Develop specifications, review designs and drive technical decisions from concept through to commissioning. Collaborate with and lead internal teams and external partners to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes, while providing specialist advice, mentoring engineers, resolving complex issues and continuously improving standards and practices. Salary range $145,808 – $169,024 plus super Benefits Competitive salary + super + salary packaging options + electricity discounts. Key Responsibilities Produce and validate HV equipment specifications and design outputs. Review, endorse and sign off critical engineering documentation and standards. Develop accurate technical inputs for project scope, estimates and decisions. Build team technical capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and technical guidance. Diagnose and resolve complex engineering issues to maintain project delivery cadence. Extensive experience in High Voltage (HV) power generation equipment and Low Voltage (LV) AC and DC systems. Strong capability in electrical design of high voltage installations, development of equipment specifications and contemporary engineering practices in a utility or power generation environment. Proven ability to deliver complex engineering outcomes across multiple concurrent projects. Demonstrated leadership through mentoring and influencing stakeholders.
