Hiring: Senior Java Developer Location: Stamford, Connecticut, USA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Industry: Banking / Financial Services About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and enhancing a mission-critical Client Portal platform. This platform delivers secure, real-time services and APIs used by clients, third-party integrations, and customer-facing applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on scalable backend systems, modern API architecture, and high-performance applications within a leading financial services organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and Web APIs.Develop scalable backend services to expose internal business capabilities.Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new features and enhancements.Design and implement RESTful APIs and real-time communication services.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern development practices.Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.Provide third-level production support for critical applications.Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture decisions.Maintain technical documentation and follow Agile development methodologies. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.7–15 years of professional Java development experience.Strong expertise in: Java, Spring Framework & Vert.xExperience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.Strong knowledge of Git version control.Experience with JUnit or other testing frameworks.Experience working with WebSockets and real-time communication.Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
