Senior Software Engineer – C++

What You’ll Do At Elekta As a Senior Software Engineer in the Neuro engineering team, you will work alongside highly skilled software engineers, product owners, software architects and system engineers across two agile teams, in close collaboration with software verification engineers. The group develops innovative new features and maintains Leksell GammaPlan®, a desktop application used by clinicians to plan radiosurgery treatments with Leksell Gamma Knife®. You will contribute across the full software development process, from requirements engineering, architecture and detailed design to implementation and unit testing. The team works on a broad range of areas, including Linux OS configuration, GUI features and the development and implementation of advanced algorithms. Given this breadth, the role can be shaped to some extent around your experience and expertise, with strong C++ knowledge as the common foundation. Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentationDesign and develop robust, maintainable software within a complex and high-quality engineering environmentReview code and software documentation to ensure high standards of qualityCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile setup (SAFe/Scrum)Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and methodologiesEnsure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements relevant to software developmentContribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and team practices What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in software engineering, typically 4+ yearsStrong proficiency in C++Experience working with complex systems across multiple layersSolid understanding of software architecture and design principlesExperience working in agile environments such as Scrum or SAFeExperience mentoring or supporting other engineersBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldStrong communication and collaboration skillsFluency in English, both written and spoken What You’ll Get 30 paid vacation days per year4 additional Elekta days offDefined contribution pension schemePrivate medical insuranceLunch benefitContribution to wellness activitiesWork in a collaborative office environment alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive and engaging workplace Application Process We look forward to receiving your application.
