What We Do / The Team The Equity Finance Technology team are seeking a highly motivated software engineer for the Trading application, located in Hong Kong. The role requires working with technologists across geographical locations and executing on the technical delivery. This role requires strong expertise in Java and the ability to work with traders in building business solutions through agile delivery. Responsibilities: Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsUtilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Key Skills And Experience Required 6+ years of relevant experience in Applications DevelopmentAwareness of building event based systems with real time trading requirementsExperience in Equity Finance / Securities LendingComprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile deliveryDemonstrated ability to work under pressure managing multiple activities and changing prioritiesProven interpersonal, management and prioritization skillsAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateFlexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones Technical Skills Technical skills in Java, Kafka, Distributed Caching, SQL, GitExperience in performing QA, TDD and BDD practicesExperience with building containerised solutions that horizontally scaleExposure to AI solutions to accelerate developmentProven ability to work in high pressure environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically Any Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience: React and full stack developmentKnowledge of Prime Services is a plus This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
