Description

Role Mission: The DevOps Engineer will maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role is responsible for automating deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliability through robust monitoring and incident response practices. Working closely with development and platform teams, the engineer will enable efficient CI/CD workflows and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. The role also drives continuous improvement by adopting cloud-native technologies, enhancing security and compliance standards, and promoting DevOps best practices across the organization. Accountabilities: Maintain scalable, secure AWS infrastructure. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to enable reliable and automated deployments. Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (e.g., EKS). Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring high availability and rapid incident response. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation, security, and continuous delivery practices. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment. Provision and manage AWS infrastructure. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability. Implement and enforce security, access control, and operational best practices across environments. Team Scope/ Stakeholders: Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to enable efficient build, release, and deployment processes. Partner with Cloud/Platform Engineering to design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure. Work closely with QA and Testing teams to integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines. Engage with Security teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices. Support Product Owners and Business stakeholders by ensuring reliable and timely delivery of applications and services. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles. Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS). Strong experience in CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana). Solid understanding of system administration, networking, and security best practices. Experience in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
