Description

Help leading companies run compensation cycles more efficiently, by building the next generation of compensation management software. You will be our first software developer hire, and will be working closely with the founder team to build the backend infrastructure and analysis engine that many large enterprises will rely on for future salary decisions. You will own entire features, and rely on our strong internal experience and customer advisory board to ensure we nail our customer’s requirements. We’re a small, fast-moving team. You’ll have ownership of your work, flexibility in how you approach problems, and the opportunity to shape our backend architecture as we scale. This role is not about bug-fixing or tweaking, but an opportunity for you to deep-dive into the world of compensation management, and put your fingerprint on the internal processes of leading companies. We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we expect you to be a fast learner, open to the chaos of a startup environment, and to have a winning attitude. Core requirements: 4 or more years of professional experience developing backend systems in PythonHands-on experience with Flask or a similar Python web framework (e.g., FastAPI, Django) in production environmentsStrong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQLProficiency in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIsProven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environmentA builder mentality - you are eager to build end-to-end features on your own Nice-to-haves: Experience writing unit and integration tests; familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) is a plusFamiliarity with Git and standard GitHub workflows (branches, PRs, code reviews)Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub ActionsExperience deploying or managing services on Google Cloud Platform or similar working knowledge of Docker; any exposure to Kubernetes is a bonus Salary range: Base pay of 55.000 - 65.000 DKK/month About PayGap PayGap already helps globally leading companies analyze their pay structures, to ensure fair and equitable compensation practices across their global workforce.
