Description

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity, working as our API & Integration Senior Developer within the Asia Pacific region. Within the role you’ll build and unit/integration testing of APIs and integration.  You will have a chance to be part of new project that will build a new end-to-end Zurich Edge Insurance Platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.  Key Responsibilities:  Build a deep understanding of business requirements and best ways to build integrations / APIs.Design of domain centric APIs Build and testing of integrationsBuild of Microservices APIs using REST/JSONBuild of Microservices using Asynchronous Design PatternDocumentation of APIs using SwaggerIntegration trouble shooting & defect analysisCI/CD processes (eg configuration management, daily automated build, unit testing etc).Interfacing with other teams for technical details related to integration between systems (both internal & external)  Your skills and experience: 5+ years programming experience.Experience with Java.Experience with Springboot Framework.Experience integrating with AWS Components eg: S3,SQS, etc.Experience with PostgreSql Database.Strong experience with API development using REST/JSON, Swagger & PostmanSynchronous Design Pattern & Asynchronous Design PatternExperience with SOAP, API First Design Approach, design patternsExperience with JIRA, Sonarqube.Experience with AI Tools: Github Copilot, Claude Code.Knowledge of object-oriented modelling.Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies   Skills:  Problem solving skillsExperience with integration design patternsPassion for new and emerging technologies.
