Description

A major Austrian financial technology provider is expanding its operations, and we are helping them stabilize the internal web tools that support their growth. At Tech Pipeline, we focus on the practical work of repairing broken processes and messy data flows that slow down these essential teams. The role As an Associate Web Developer, you will help us maintain and improve the internal interfaces that the client staff uses every day to manage financial records and customer data. This role exists to ensure that when a data point moves from one system to another, the web portal reflects it accurately and without lag. You will be working in a fully remote capacity, focusing on the functional parts of the web that actually keep a business running. What you will do Debug existing internal web forms that fail or time out during high-volume data entry sessions. Update CSS and HTML structures to ensure that legacy internal portals remain usable and clear for staff. Review server logs to identify why specific API calls are returning errors during the data reconciliation process. Write and update technical documentation that explains how data flows from the frontend to the backend database. Assist senior developers in updating old scripts and removing outdated dependencies from internal tools. Test internal tools across different browsers to ensure consistent performance for a remote, global workforce. Monitor automated error reports and triage issues based on how much they interfere with daily client operations. Participate in code reviews to learn our standards for clean, maintainable internal software. What we are looking for Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript gained through your studies, a bootcamp, or personal projects. A logical approach to troubleshooting where you can follow a technical problem back to its source. The ability to write clearly so that colleagues can understand exactly what you changed in a piece of code. Curiosity about how financial data moves through a business and what happens when it gets stuck. Familiarity with version control tools like Git for managing code changes. Comfort working in a fully remote environment where most coordination happens through written updates. Willingness to spend time on the practical parts of development, such as fixing a broken table or cleaning up a script. An interest in learning how to build tools that prioritize utility and speed over visual flair. What we offer Attractive competitive pay that is well-aligned with the market for entry-level development roles. A fully remote working setup that gives you control over your own environment and schedule. Direct mentorship from senior practitioners who value technical accuracy and direct communication. Exposure to complex financial systems and the underlying logic of large-scale fintech operations. A working culture that prioritizes deep work and problem-solving over constant status meetings. The opportunity to see your fixes used immediately by people doing critical work for a major client. A stable, full-time permanent position within a consultancy that values practical results. Clear expectations and a focus on documentation that helps you learn the systems quickly. How we work We prefer clear documentation and written updates over spending our day in video calls. Our team operates with a preference for getting the process stable and the systems talking to each other, then moving on to the next challenge. We do not value staying busy for the sake of it: we value finding where the friction lives and removing it so the business can run smoothly. Once a system is stable and the client team can run it without us, we consider that a success. If you prefer the practical challenge of making a business work better by fixing the things that actually block the day, you will find plenty of work to do here.
