Overview We are looking to recruit a motivated and curious Software Integrations Engineer with 5-8 years of software development experience to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, building clean automations with high quality documentation, and exploring new ways of working — from low-code platforms to utilising AI to meet business needs. The Integration Team operates as a core function within the Digital Group, underpinning PM Group’s ambition to establish a unified, agile digital ecosystem. The Integration Team ensures that our systems are interoperable, secure, and future-ready, driving innovation and supporting business growth. Responsibilities Integration & Automation Development Design, build, and maintain integrations and automations using WorkatoCreate end-to-end recipes, connectors, and workflows across various systems, aligned with business needs (e.g., SaaS apps, internal tools, databases)-to-end recipes, connectors, and workflows across various systemsOptimise existing automations for performance, scalability, and reliability Production Support and Maintenance Monitor and troubleshoot workflows to identify and resolve issues efficientlyWork effectively with cross functional teams to proactively implement monitoring tools and alerting systems, to minimise workflow disruptions and support timely incident response Solution Design Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsAnalyse processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification, or AI powered enhancements-powered enhancementsEnsure solutions follow best practices for error handling, security, and maintainability Innovation & Continuous Learning Share best practices and mentor colleagues on integration automation conceptsStay updated with enhancements in integration best practices for better implementationStay curious and experiment with AI tools, low-code platforms, and emerging integration technologies Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 5-8 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, or integration developmentBachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, systems engineering or relatedDemonstratable experience of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.)Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues calmly and logically with a detail-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple language and liaise with teams effectivelyStrong understanding of APIs, JSON, and common integration patterns Nice-to-have Skills Hands-on experience with integrated systems or iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Zapier, Boomi, MuleSoft, Make)SQL and database experienceHands-on Workato custom connector developmentWorkato certificationFamiliarity with event-driven architecturesExperience with CI/CD, ADO, or DevOps workflowsPrevious exposure to data mapping Who You Are A problem solver who enjoys automating repetitive tasksA team player who thrives in collaborative environmentsComfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping processesFriendly and open, and confident communicating with both technical and non-technical audiencesCurious, proactive, and excited about new technologies, especially low-code and AIOpenness to work with new processes.
