Founding Builder / AI Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is hiring a Software Engineer / Founding Builder to support a technology startup in Toronto. This role requires 4+ days onsite and will focus on designing, building, deploying, and scaling enterprise-grade software products. This individual will work across the full stack, owning technical solutions from initial design through production deployment. The ideal candidate has experience building products in startup environments while also developing the engineering maturity required to operate within enterprise organizations. Responsibilities include: -Designing and building full-stack software solutions. -Working across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data systems. -Creating scalable system architectures and making key technical decisions. -Deploying and supporting production applications in cloud environments. -Maintaining and enhancing existing systems while contributing to new product development. -Identifying deployment risks and implementing scalable, secure solutions. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -4+ years of software engineering experience. -Experience building and launching products end-to-end. -Strong system design and software architecture experience. -Hands-on experience deploying enterprise applications. -Experience working within a large-scale enterprise technology organization -Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve engineering productivity, problem-solving, and day-to-day -workflows - Experience implementing technical guardrails, security controls, and governance frameworks to ensure reliable and secure production deployments -Proven ability to operate as an autonomous engineer who takes initiative and embraces accountability. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -Experience at both a startup and large enterprise organization. -Experience working in government, regulated, or security-sensitive environments. -Experience designing highly scalable distributed systems.
