The Role Serve as a technical lead for a critical modernization initiative, guiding design, development, and deployment. Architect and lead the migration of legacy CodeIgniter applications to Laravel, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and generate comprehensive tests. Mentor team members, foster knowledge-sharing, and review code to maintain quality and consistency. Participate in Agile ceremonies and track deliverables accurately. Promote a user-first mindset and empathetic software design, staying up-to-date with security best practices. What You'll Need 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack PHP development, with deep expertise in Laravel. Proven experience transitioning applications from legacy frameworks (CodeIgniter) to Laravel. Excellent proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js. Strong understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, and preprocessors like SASS/LESS. Proficiency with Git for version control and Unix/Linux command-line environments, and experience building RESTful APIs. Ability to obtain and maintain a government background clearance.
