YOUR ROLE As a Java Software Engineer at Capgemini, you design, build and evolve scalable, high-quality software solutions that support our clients’ most critical business processes, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, maintainable and future-proof applications. You operate in modern engineering environments at the intersection of cloud, microservices and AI-enabled development practices, contributing across the full software lifecycle while ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and aligned with enterprise standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable software solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirementsEnsure high-quality deliverables through testing, code reviews and engineering best practicesContribute to solution design and provide technical input on architecture and implementation choicesLeverage modern tooling and AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and qualityMentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering standards YOUR PROFILE Strong experience designing and building scalable, maintainable solutions in distributed and cloud-native environments.Familiar with modern software architecture such as microservices and event-driven systems, and principles like DDD or CQRSExperience with CI/CD and knowledge of containerization and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code)Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) and front-end frameworks, such as React, Angular or Vue.Language proficiency in Dutch and English What You'll Love About Working Here At Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
