We need motivated people who will join us on this journey, and we are looking for a Senior Java Developer in our flexhub team. What is flexhub? We are Commerzbank's internal delivery capability – a team of engineers, architects, analysts and experts working directly with business units. Unlike external consultancies, we are colleagues who stay. Based in Frankfurt, Sofia, and Łódź, we drive high-priority initiatives while building internal expertise that lasts. Your responsibilities would consist of: Being responsible for analysis, technical and functional solution design (implementation of new functions, modules, or interfaces for banking applications);Integrating third-party services and internal systems using secure REST or messaging protocols; Translating business requirements into functional, high-performance code; Writing comprehensive tests and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards;Actively contributing to sprint refinement and estimating technical tasks with the team; Deploying your services to production and troubleshooting incidents when they occur; Creating detailed technical specifications and architecture diagrams for your components; Keeping up with Java updates and sharing interesting findings with your peers; Explaining technical challenges to product owners in understandable language; Refactoring legacy code to improve performance and maintainability. The skills and experience we would like you to have: Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, RESTful Web Services;Good knowledge of SQL, Git, object-oriented design, unit testing;Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Kotlin would be considered as an advantage;Ability to proactively drive projects and tasks to deliver results;Fluency in English;University degree in IT or relevant.
