Description

LOCATION Primary Location: Vilnius, Lithuania THE OPPORTUNITY The Boozt platform team is best characterized by its flat structure, friendly and collaborative atmosphere, and a reputation for solving highly complex problems with simple, elegant technical solutions. Overengineering is something we actively avoid. We work in small, cross-functional teams of up to five (or max six) developers, within a broader platform community of 176 developers across 5 locations. Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) is developed fully in-house, giving us complete control over our engineering priorities, architectural design, and roadmap. Using agile methods and maintaining direct contact with end-users - our colleagues working inside our own fulfillment center - we continuously improve the system and ship features to production multiple times per day. The Vilnius team’s core responsibility is orchestrating the technical backbone of the largest AutoStore installation in the world, managing ~1,200 active robots operating across more than 1,200,000 bins. A key focus area is our cube-consolidation architecture (Transfer Cells): our fulfillment center is organized around three massive AutoStore cubes connected via automated conveyor belts. By automatically routing bins between cubes via Transfer Cells, we streamline order consolidation and eliminate manual intervention. TECH STACK Languages & Frameworks: PHP (Symfony framework) and Go.Data & Messaging: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch. Cross-system communication relies on Google Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, and standard REST APIs.Infrastructure & Support: 100% Google Cloud Platform (GCP) managed via Terraform—no manual ad-hoc infrastructure changes. While we own our infrastructure, dedicated internal SRE and DevOps teams are always available to collaborate.Observability: Datadog for centralized logging, APM metrics, health monitoring, and tracking real-time performance impact during deployments.AI Tooling: We actively leverage AI developer tools (Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and research. We embrace modern workflow tools to eliminate friction and focus our time on solving complex logic problems.
