Description

The Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer plays a critical role in driving automation-first strategies across infrastructure services. This role combines strong technical expertise with hands-on implementation, focusing on Ansible, Linux environments, and scalable automation solutions to support enterprise operations. Make an Impact by: • Define and implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible across Linux and Windows environments • Design and manage automation workflows, job templates, and role-based access control within Ansible Automation Platform • Automate Day-2 operations including patching, configuration drift remediation, monitoring, backup, and incident response • Develop reusable automation playbooks, modules, and CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure deployment • Implement self-healing and auto-remediation mechanisms to improve system reliability and reduce downtime • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across automated infrastructure processes • Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code repositories and enforce best practices • Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards through policy-driven automation • Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Operations teams to align automation initiatives with business objectives • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new automation tools and methodologies Skills for Success: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in automation • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and solid Linux administration experience • Proven experience in Ansible Automation Platform including workflows, RBAC and credential management • Hands-on experience with VM provisioning, infrastructure automation and system hardening • Experience in automating Day-2 operations such as patching, monitoring and remediation • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell or PowerShell • Good understanding of networking, security and system administration principles • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a complex environment Good to Have: • Experience with container orchestration technologies • Knowledge of GitOps methodologies • Experience in cloud security automation and compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS) • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana or ELK stack • Exposure to AI-driven automation (AIOps) or ChatOps Your Career Growth Starts Here.
