Job Description – AI-Driven Application Developer (HPC/AI Tooling) Location Bull HPC sites in France Grenoble (38), Les Clayes-sous-bois (78), Bruyères-le-Châtel (91), Bordeaux (33), Rennes (35), Toulouse (31) or Montpellier (34). Other locations in Europe or Remote options available. Team Solution, Design & Architecture (SDA) Overview We are looking for a skilled and motivated Application Developer to join a small team focused on designing, developping, and maintainining a business critical internal tooling platform dedicated to HPC/AI cluster design. This role leverages modern AI-assisted development ("vibe coding") using tools such as Claude and Gemini, enabling rapid innovation and high-quality software delivery. You will play a key role in shaping a robust, scalable application used by pre-sales, solution review, factory and delivery teams to model, design, and optimize high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Continue to develop, productize and maintain a business critical internal application for HPC/AI cluster design and simulation having dependencies on other internal critical applications. Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate coding, prototyping, and problem-solving Participate in the full software lifecycle design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance Collaborate with HPC, infrastructure, and AI stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the application Improve and automate development workflows using CI/CD best practices Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing Continuously explore new tools, frameworks, and approaches to enhance productivity and product quality while maintaining production grade standards. Technical Skills & Experience Strong experience in software development in a Linux environnent. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Copilot) and modern development practices Experience building and maintaining web applications or internal tooling Understanding of HPC, distributed systems, or AI infrastructure (clusters, GPUs, networking, scheduling) is highly desirable Knowledge ofAPIs and backend developmentFrontend frameworks (React, Vue, or equivalent)Databases (SQL/NoSQL)Version control (Git) Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices using AI-driven tooling.
