Head Office - Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to take full responsibility for the design, governance, security, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s enterprise IT infrastructure and network environment across multiple business units. This is a hands-on technical role focused on design, architecture, security, optimisation, and project delivery — not first-line support. You will act as the primary technical authority for our infrastructure landscape while working alongside our managed services provider, who handles day-to-day support operations. The role offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy, lead initiatives, and ensure that systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the company’s end-to-end IT infrastructure and network architectureDesign, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient environmentsLead infrastructure and digital transformation projectsAct as 2nd/3rd line escalation for infrastructure issuesManage firewalls, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and security policiesAdminister servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, and disaster recoveryManage hybrid environments across on-premises and Microsoft AzureOversee identity and device management solutions (e.g., Intune, Entra ID/Azure AD)Lead Microsoft 365 initiatives including SharePoint and collaboration platformsWork closely with external managed service providers and vendorsDefine standards, documentation, and best practicesContinuously improve performance, reliability, and security posture Required Experience & Skills 3+ years in senior infrastructure/network engineering or similar roleStrong hands-on networking expertise (firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, WAN)Experience with enterprise firewalls and security best practicesSolid Windows Server administration and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud deploymentsMicrosoft 365 administration (Intune, SharePoint, Entra, etc.)Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planningStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skillsAbility to lead projects independently from design to delivery Nice to Have Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, etc.)Experience in multi-site or hospitality environmentsInfrastructure automation or scripting (PowerShell, etc.)Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks What We Offer A senior, high-impact role with ownership and autonomyOpportunity to lead strategic IT initiatives and modernisation projectsExposure to diverse technologies across cloud and enterprise infrastructureContinuous learning and professional developmentCollaborative and growing organisation with long-term career progression If you’re passionate about building reliable, secure infrastructure and want to play a key role in shaping our IT landscape, we’d love to hear from you.
