Infrastructure / Cloud Platform Engineer

Scope We're looking for an Infrastructure / Cloud Platform Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team within IT Corporate. You'll take end-to-end ownership of our infrastructure platforms, both on-premises and Microsoft Azure, using automation and DevOps practices to keep services reliable, scalable, and secure. The role blends hands-on operations with engineering and platform evolution, working closely with Security, DevOps, Workplace, and Application teams to support our digital transformation. As EVS is an NIS2 Essential Entity implementing ISO/IEC 27001:2022, you'll also help drive secure-by-design infrastructure, compliance, and audit readiness. We're looking for someone technically strong, hands-on, and proactive about innovation and operational excellence. Job Description As part of the Core IT Infrastructure team, the Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to the following activities: Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manage and monitor hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + Azure cloud)Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of platformsHandle incident, problem, and change management processesProvide 2nd and 3rd level support for complex infrastructure issuesConduct root cause analysis and deliver long-term fixes Cloud & Platform Engineering Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure (IaaS & PaaS)Support platform standardization and scalability effortsTake part in architecture design and technical roadmap discussions DevOps & Automation Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Help develop CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)Streamline operational tasks through automation (PowerShell, scripting)Champion DevOps culture across the team Security & Compliance (ISO27001) Apply security baselines, patching, and hardening standardsAssist with ISO27001 controls implementation and complianceWork alongside InfoSec on vulnerability management and remediationHelp ensure audit readiness and supporting documentation Resilience & Continuity Uphold backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plansParticipate in testing and enhancing recovery processes Continuous Improvement Track performance and identify optimization opportunitiesSupport capacity planning and Azure cost optimization (FinOps awareness)Suggest improvements to infrastructure, processes, and tools Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Produce and update technical documentation and knowledge baseShare best practices and help upskill the team Profile Strong knowledge of: Hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)Azure services (compute, networking, identity, storage, ..)OS (Windows / Linux) Practical experience with: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, Git)Automation (PowerShell, scripting) Good understanding of: Virtualization (VMware / Proxmox)Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewall)Backup & DR solutionsSecurity best practices and ISO27001 controls Acts as: Technical expert in one or more domainsReference point for complex technical topics Personal Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindsetOrganized, structured & detail-orientedAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teamsCurious & willing to continuously learn new technologies and security trendsProactive attitude and continuous improvement mindsetStrong communication & coordination skillsTeam player with a practical and solution-oriented approach Languages Fluent in French (working language of the IT team)Professional English required (working language of EVS world wide) Offer Becoming part of the EVS team means receiving a competitive salary aligned with your skills and market standards, along with a wide range of wellness and healthcare benefits.
