Software Engineer III, Cloud Data

Preferred qualifications: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.Experience designing, building, and scaling backend services, APIs, and data infrastructure.Experience with Kotlin, Java, Scala or Go.Experience in Data Analytics and ETL tools.Experience debugging complex issues, improving platform stability and security, and writing testable, maintainable code.Understanding of back-end architecture, distributed systems concepts, database/storage solutions, and system performance tuning. Design and implement backend APIs, services, and core capabilities for Dataform to deliver new features and enhance platform functionality.Scope, design, and drive technical solutions to address infrastructure bottlenecks and continuously enhance the security and stability of the platform.Partner with front-end teams and other Google Cloud service owners on Application Programming Interface (API) and system designs.Build scalable code management and pipeline orchestration solutions that power both the customer-facing Dataform product and broader Google Cloud platform capabilities.Participate in monitoring, debugging, and production support (including on-call rotations) to maintain system health and enable frequent, reliable releases.
