Frontend Software Engineer

About The Opportunity A client we are partnering with is looking for a frontend engineer to help us build a seamless and beautiful consumer healthcare product on the web. You'll own major surfaces of their Next.js application — from search and scheduling to provider profiles and checkout — and obsess over every detail of the patient experience. This is a hybrid position in San Francisco, CA. We don't expect you to have a healthcare background (though it's great if you do!). However, you should be excited by the prospect of digging into the messy complexities of the American healthcare system (integrating with EHRs, revenue cycle management, etc). JOB RESPONSIBILTIES Own major product surfaces across search, scheduling, provider profiles, and checkout.Build fast, accessible, production-grade experiences using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.Partner with Design to translate designs into polished interactions and high-quality UI.Make pragmatic decisions around frontend architecture, state management, data fetching, performance, and testing.Debug across the stack and occasionally work with the Rails backend to deliver features end-to-end.Write PRDs, use SQL to analyze product performance, and own QA when needed.Collaborate with Design, Operations, and Clinical stakeholders in an ambiguous and fast-moving environment. Job Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a frontend engineer wearing multiple hats in uncertain environments.Experience at a start-up (seed to series B).BS in Computer Science or a related field.Deep expertise in React, Next. js, and TypeScript with a strong eye for UI polish.Entrepreneurial drive beyond the code.Strong communicator.
