About The Role
The product security team focuses on detecting, preventing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities across Bolt’s product portfolio.
We are looking for a new team member to strengthen our vulnerability management and secure development capabilities.
In this role, you will support the secure software development lifecycle by helping to identify, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across our products while improving the practices that keep them secure.
You will work alongside security engineers, software developers, and compliance experts, learning how security is built into products from design through delivery.
This is a position for you if you are early in your security career, or a junior software engineer (SWE) or site reliability engineer (SRE) looking to pivot into application security.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Tracking vulnerabilities through remediation: making sure findings are documented, assigned, and followed up in a timely manner.Supporting security checks in our CI/CD pipelines (SAST, dependency scanning, container scanning) under the guidance of senior engineers.Participating in security reviews during early design phases by reading threat models and design docs and asking the right security questions.Building small automations and improvements to vulnerability scanning, reporting, and notifications.Helping gather evidence and documentation for security audits (PCI DSS, ISO 27001).Keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest news in the IT security world.
About You
Demonstrable hands-on cybersecurity ability, through CTF/competition results, a portfolio of security projects, bug bounty findings, published write-ups, or equivalent practical work.Solid software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python), with the ability to read and reason about code.Understanding of common vulnerability classes (e.g., the OWASP Top 10) and how they arise in real systems.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks with senior guidance.
