We are partnering with a leading resources and mining client to drive critical asset modernisation and plant automation.
We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Automation Engineer to represent our organisation and take technical ownership of maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming complex automation networks across site operations.
Operating on a favorable 8:6 FIFO roster flying out of Perth, you will bridge digital control logic and heavy industrial execution within our client’s environment.
You will be instrumental in optimizing processing plant operations, managing industrial networks, and keeping mission-critical machinery running at peak efficiency.

Core ResponsibilitiesPLC & SCADA Programming: Program, modify, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems across processing plants and heavy site machinery.Network & Telemetry Monitoring: Maintain and monitor industrial data networks, telemetry channels, and radio mesh communications for autonomous and remote equipment.System Optimization: Refine software logic and control algorithms to enhance the efficiency, safety, and throughput of processing circuits (conveyors, crushing, grinding).Remote Fault Finding: Diagnose complex digital, software, and component faults to support on-site field mechanics and electrical maintenance teams.Documentation & Governance: Maintain strict engineering records, change-management logs, system bug tracking, and network topology configurations.
Selection CriteriaEducational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.Control Systems Mastery: Commercial experience programming major industrial control systems (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).Technical Fundamentals: Strong understanding of digital logic, microcontrollers, fieldbus protocols, and industrial electronic diagnostics.Location & Site Readiness: Based in (or willing to relocate to) Western Australia to swing on an 8:6 FIFO roster ex-Perth.
Holds a valid WA Construction Induction (White Card) or ability to obtain one prior to site entry.
