We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Automation Engineer to represent our organisation and take technical ownership of maintaining, troubleshooting, and programming complex automation networks across site operations. Operating on a favorable 8:6 FIFO roster flying out of Perth, you will bridge digital control logic and heavy industrial execution within our client’s environment. Core ResponsibilitiesPLC & SCADA Programming: Program, modify, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems across processing plants and heavy site machinery.Network & Telemetry Monitoring: Maintain and monitor industrial data networks, telemetry channels, and radio mesh communications for autonomous and remote equipment.System Optimization: Refine software logic and control algorithms to enhance the efficiency, safety, and throughput of processing circuits (conveyors, crushing, grinding).Remote Fault Finding: Diagnose complex digital, software, and component faults to support on-site field mechanics and electrical maintenance teams.Documentation & Governance: Maintain strict engineering records, change-management logs, system bug tracking, and network topology configurations. Selection CriteriaEducational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.Control Systems Mastery: Commercial experience programming major industrial control systems (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).Technical Fundamentals: Strong understanding of digital logic, microcontrollers, fieldbus protocols, and industrial electronic diagnostics.Location & Site Readiness: Based in (or willing to relocate to) Western Australia to swing on an 8:6 FIFO roster ex-Perth. Holds a valid WA Construction Induction (White Card) or ability to obtain one prior to site entry.
