Senior Application Developer

For over 10 years we have been building and maintaining optimization solutions that optimize cost, service, equipment and capacity and that show actual cost against plan in real-time. Our systems are well engineered and reliable. CTI (Hong Kong) is primarily involved in the Support, Maintenance and Enhancement of mission critical Crew Scheduling and Operations systems at one of the major airlines headquartered in Hong Kong. The system installed is a multi-process system mainly written in C/C++ and uses shell scripts to coordinate various operations. It uses an Oracle backend and X11 front end. We are looking for a “Seasoned Resource” who has long years of industry experience and is comfortable supporting legacy real-time systems based on the C, C++ and Java technology stack in a Unix/Linux environment. Key Responsibilities Collect user requirements and define system requirementsDesign, develop and maintain the various airline systems using C/C++, Java, Oracle PL/SQL or ESQLProduce system test and performance test cases of an existing systemConduct system test and performance test Provide technical / user support in our applications Minimum Qualifications Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline5 years of working experience in IT fields Technical and Personal Skills Required Strong programming skillsKnowledge in Unix/LinuxC/C++ programming languageOracle and Embedded SQL programmingUnix shell scriptingStrong analytical mind Able to work in a team environment Good interpersonal skillsGood written and spoken EnglishPreferrable:· Experience in airlines system, real time system, scheduling system, or operational research · X Windows · Java / J2EE · IBM MQ Compensation CTI offers generous compensations and benefits.
